India’s cricketers selected for the final of the world cup test championship, are in a mandatory quarantine ahead of their trip to the United Kingdom for the prestigious cricket world cup test final against New Zealand to be played at the spectacular Ageas Bowl in Southampton from June 18 to 22.
“The decision, taken by the ICC Board, follows discussions with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) where a range of options were considered to ensure the inaugural world test cricket final could be staged safely with the potential impact of COVID-19 minimised for all involved,” a recent ICC statement had said about the selection of the magnificent venue to host the final.
“In selecting The Hampshire Bowl, the ICC drew on ECB’s experience of delivering a full summer of bio-safe international cricket in 2020”, the cricket world’s governing council’s statement further said.
